TRÅDVÆRK AWARDED GRANT FOR ART PROJECT IN AARHUS

We headed into the holiday season with fantastic news – Kirsten and Gunnar Foundation granted us a generous sum! The foundation supports initiatives that contribute to a more beautiful Aarhus, and this grant is making our long-dreamed art project a reality. We're not letting this go unnoticed.

Imagine a 3-meter-tall tree that doesn't grow in the forest but is knitted and crocheted in an array of colors. Envision a beautiful symbol of the stunning nature surrounding Aarhus, simultaneously drawing attention to the challenging issues of overconsumption and resource waste in the way we live our lives.

The art project, TRÆVÆRK, will be beautiful and captivating, serving as an invitation to contemplate how we treat our planet and the limited resources at our disposal. It reminds us of our responsibility to care for nature. We are particularly proud to collaborate with Danish carpet factories, utilizing their surplus materials in our artwork.

The grant from Kirsten and Gunnar Foundation is a significant nod and vote of confidence in TRÅDVÆRK's mission to prioritize sustainable development through art and design. It allows us to bring our art project to life on a scale we could only dream of. We are deeply grateful for their support and look forward to sharing the results with all of you.

We will keep you updated on the project's progress and invite you to join us in the process. TRÆVÆRK will be exhibited at Dokk1 in the fall of 2024. Keep an eye on our social media and website for the latest updates.
